Collection Process

Plasma is collected when uncoagulated blood is allowed to settle, or is centrifuged, allowing its key constituents to separate. The process of extracting bulk plasma from donors is a complex one, relying on state-of the-art technology and expertise.

There are 8 key steps to the Plasvacc process of plasma collection:

Step 1: Donor preparation

Step 2: Blood sample collection

Step 3: Analysis and testing

Step 4: Centrifugal separation

Step 5: Plasma collection

Step 6: Return of cells to donor

Step 7: Freezing & storage

Step 8: Distribution
