Ross Wilson BVSc
Ross Wilson has been a veterinarian since 1972, and worked in his own mixed rural veterinary practice in Australia for 30 years.

Ross has been a passionate researcher in the field of plasma therapy in animals since 1996, and has developed licensed plasma products for use in the horses, alpacas, and dogs in Australia and New Zealand.

Ross heads up our ongoing research and development work in further developing and understanding the benefits of plasma in treating disease.


Heather Alspach Certified Veterinary Assistant and USDA APHIS Liaison
Heather has been with Plasvacc USA since 1998. Heather has a great affinity and understanding of the equine industry and is a keen rider and horse lover.

Starting as a trainee Pheresing Technician, Heather worked her way up through the organization to become the Production Manager in 2001 and the Business Manager in 2011.

Heather is in charge of recruitment, donor selection, staff training, and Compliance.

Heather is also head of the Plasma Donor Selection Program and a member of the Plasvacc Senior Management Committee.

Most importantly, Heather understands Plasvacc’s plasma products and how they assist in the treatment of various ailments in animals.


Richard Brandon BVSc (Hons) PhD MBA
Richard is the R&D Veterinarian at Plasvacc Pty Ltd where he is responsible for new product development and applications along with providing technical support to clients.

Richard spent a number of years in private veterinary practice before undertaking his doctoral studies in molecular genetics and immunology. He did post-doctoral work at the Department of Agriculture (Victoria) and Cornell University and has been a Visiting Scientist at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed his business studies in 2000 and currently provides technical, intellectual property and business advice to a medical device biotechnology company.

He is an author on over 20 scientific publications, 10 patents and numerous articles for the popular press.


Margaret Ybarra
Margaret joined Plasvacc USA in 2008 as a Laboratory Technician and is currently the Laboratory Manager. She also is the Alternate APHIS Liaison and assists with new product R & D.

Margaret oversees the quality control testing of all of Plasvacc’s USDA licensed plasma products before they are released for sale.

Margaret uses her extensive laboratory background to ensure that the products Plasvacc offers for sale are of utmost quality.
